The Line Bomb (ラインボム) is a power-up in the Bomberman series.

Description

The Line Bomb can create a line of bombs when the right button is pushed. It makes it easier to insert the maximum number of bombs at one time. The Line Bomb can only be used when the player has more than one bomb in their possession. The item's appearance is a line of 3 Bombs and a letter "L" in the Bomberman GB games.

In Super Bomberman 3, the brown Louie can use this ability. The rideable enemy, Pakkunga, has this ability in Super Bomberman 4, while in Super Bomberman 5, Magicarooi/Magicarooey, the purple magician Louie, can use this.

In most Bomberman games, this item cannot be used with the Power Glove, due to the same button mapping.

Strategy

A good strategy for using the Line Bomb is to place all bombs next to a bomb that's about to explode. In this case, opponents may be caught in the explosion. The Line Bomb can also be used for surprising players.

Another strategy is to deploy a bomb and wait for it to nearly explode. Before it explodes, use the Line Bomb to the direction of the opponents. It's best to use it when you are fast enough to escape, or in other words, have some speed items.

Notable Line Bomb Users

• Debugon Bomber uses the Line Bomb. When he raises his staff above his head and twirls it, he will fly into the air for 3 seconds, laying either a horizontal or vertical line of 9 bombs beneath him.
• Thunder Bomber can use the Line Bomb in Bomberman Online.
