Falling Bombs (落下爆弾, Rakka bakudan) are a trap in Super Bomberman.
Description
They are the main trap of the battle stage Bomb Zone. At random times, a bomb will fall from the sky onto a random tile space on the map, and could also bounce off depending if the tile is already occupied. No shadow will indicate where they will land, making difficult to predict where would be their location. If they fall onto a player, the player will be briefly stunned and one or two of their items will be scattered. When the bomb explodes, it produces 1 tile blast in the four directions.
The bombs can also trap players, which is the reason why the Boxing Glove became a very useful item in the stage.
