Bonus Coins are special collectible items in Bomberman '94.

Description

They appears after collecting a Spirit Picture from a Control Capsule. All the Soft Blocks from the stage that the player didn't destroyed will turn into Bonus Coins. All undefeated enemies will be removed from the map, and 15 seconds of time will be given to collect the coins. Each coins is worth 500 points. There is no additional bonuses for collecting them all under the time limit.

It shall be noted that the coins can also be destroyed by a Bomb Blast, much like the other Power-Ups items (but without the anime effect). Interestingly, kicking a bomb will also "destroy" them if they happen to be in the range. If the coins are destroyed, they will not yield any points.
